>It sure sounds to me as if you are one of those "many people" who assume the US Gov't is making the allegation based on race. One of those who ignore the fact that the FBI was denied the ability to investigate Lee. One of those who see no relation between this and Clinton's treasonous (oops, I mean "possibly improper") acceptance of bribes (oops, I mean "campaign contributions") and coverup of technology transfer (oops, I mean "inadvertant leakage of outdated information") to China. But, maybe I just don't quite understand what you are trying to say. Hmmm, let me see. You are not saying that YOU think the entire US Gov't is racist, you are simply concerned that LOTS of OTHER people might think that, right?<
If you think that these type of possible transgressions are unique to this particular administration and not part of a pattern of business as usual involving past administrations, then you are either extremely partisan or naive....or both.
It gets a little tiresome to read partisan criticism (from whatever side) that seems to suffer from a common malady....selective amnesia.
>However, if you are unhappy that Lee has had his life disrupted, perhaps you should consider who it was that caused the problem -- the Gov't? Nope, the press. The jackels who will rip and tear at any piece of raw flesh that might be exposed.<
No doubt that the press is always a player in most issues in our society. Sometimes irritating. But in a free society this is an irritant that we should accept. What's the alternative? Surely you're not suggesting some kind of controls?
The best. |
