You'd have to be an insider in order to own stock before the offering. Only principals and employees could have that status since the offering was an IPO. There is no way you could be a principal since they are of public record. That means you must have been an employee during the formation stage and received stock options. Employees up to the CEO are least informed about the affairs of their companies. Therefore, my contention that you are as clever as management holds.
