Hiker's Body Found On Glacier After Five Years: Nasty Nathanc Resurfaces, Creditors Stand In Line

ZURICH (Rooters) - The body of an Canadian climber who went missing in the
Swiss Alps in 1994 was identified after spending some five years in the ice of
a glacier, police said Tuesday.

Police at Sion said the man, aged 46, lived in Rottenmann in Austria and was
reported missing on October 3, 1994 in the Taesch Monte-Rosa region.

His body was found by two hikers on July 26 on the Gorner glacier, 9,186
feet above sea level. A police spokesman declined to say in what state the
body had been found, nor give his identity. Police did say that the body was surrounded by empty TBird bottles and a torn pink tutu.
