I imagine he gleaned his opinion from papers published on Intel's P858. It's the process thingy. Device characteristics play a pivitol role in determining how far a given process generation will take you for Fmax on completed designs, amongst other considerations. <Aha, is this the process where Coppermine can't get to 600MHz? Very impressive indeed!> HA! HA HA HA! HA! HA! HA! You speak in present tense with no information to back you up. Where did you hear that Coppermine won't run above 600MHz???? PB
