First you, Delbert: the "fact man".
Limbaugh can be an arrogant SOB and is more than willing to give his opinion on anything, whether he's familiar with the subject or not. He has also gotten lazy as hell and is way out of touch with his core audience except most haven't gotten it yet.
That said, he probably offers more credible political commentary in a week than the anchors and pundits at the majors do in a year.
FWIW, the ONLY time I listen to him (or anyone else) is when I'm stuck in the car but he beats the "All Feelings Considered" bunch by a mile.
As for his baseball background, he was a front office PR/promotions type for the KC Royals -- he was not an announcer. So much for YOUR credibility, Delbert.
And, what, may I ask, distinguishes Peter, Tom, Dan, Bernie, Connie, et. al. as being more insightful or credible. I have known some of these people personally for many years and can tell you that not all are overly bright or interested in giving you the whole story. Several, in fact, are absolutely disgraceful but they are on the air for the same reason Rush is -- they have an audience.
Get a horse, Delbert. |
