Bill,

In the long term, stocks trade about values that are supported by their fundamentals. In the short term, emotion, news, and technical factors are much more important. You and a few others here spend a lot of energy arguing with longs. The battle isn't between longs and shorts. The battle is between you and information and it makes no difference what side of the market you are on. Assuming an efficient market, longs and shorts have the same information available to them and I would think that your time would be better spent digging for it than battling with somebody who has no effect on what happens. The market won't ignore information that could adversely affect your position just because you are short, so sweeping it under the rug or putting a negative spin on everything to suit your ego does no good. This is meant as a general comment and not towards any particular stock.

Have a nice day,

Dan
