We had a spike of our CBOE volume-weighted, equity-only put/call ratio oscillator yesterday, so we may have a temporary bottom here. Although choppy trading yesterday was not convincing of a bottom. The 10-day moving average of the simple daily ratio has also turned bullish (contrarianwise), so that adds some weight to the bottom analysis. What is needed is a trigger to send the market snapping back. Jobs on Friday may be it, although it could just as easily send the OEX lower.
