Like you, its hard for me not to think of this latest downturn as an opportunity across the board. I was reading a Merrill Lynch article that they distrib to clients. Paraphrasing: "the internet, like the printing press, telephone and computer is transforming the global economy."

Now if Merrill is on board, y'gotta think something's up. (They also, however, caution investors about risk, volatility etc.)
