Good Morning Ed,

We are not open twenty minutes and already the Nasdaq is down 15 points. The wall of fear is incredible and too many speculators or investors are fed up watching their investments shrivel up. Every day we keep getting the same downward movement and the momentum is hard to stop. Stocks have traditionally fell on their butts during the month of August for the last 4 years and this time does not look to be any different. I am beginning to see that after Microsoft reports its quarterly earnings the summer sell off starts and gets pretty ugly. I wonder if many would be better to sell off stocks after the MSFT report and then buy back again in mid September?? The fed lowering interest rates is what started the real rally in many stocks including the internet and now the reverse is happening. Only the Fed IMHO can stop the slide. We don't even get dead cat bounces anymore. What is your thinking on this??

Frank
