As a Canadian mining person, I am completely perplexed, like everyone else. But from my own experience on being in on a small discovery, the last thing that de Guzman would be contemplating would be jumping out of a helicopter. If I was him, I would have been on the most incredible high you could imagine.

For the most part, everyone else is sticking to their stories. Except for one who is no longer with us.

I don't have the answers, but de Guzman's actions don't make sense to me.

I can't post any more after this, reached my limit. I'm not going to speculate what happened, just that his actions seem extremely opposed to the situation. Usually, the discoverer's reap the glory and the stature, rightly deserved.
