would you mind sharing how to put a positive spin on learning NO COOLING POOL in all 40 plus usa nuclear reactors have NOT A SINGLE BACKUP DIESEL GENERATOR to keep the cooling pool 'cool' during power failure now, let alone cascading power failure during january 2000? you do remember what a cooling pool is for, right? (for those pulled rods which are supposed to be encapsulated in steel casts--like steel doesn't rust] before shipping to the nuclear approved waste sites of north america in particular?)

and we are supposed to sacrifice our military sons and daughters for this little planning oversight on the part of you physicists? NO WONDER THE MILITARY DOWN HERE IS ON A HIGH STATE OF ALERT! THANK YOU FOR THIS DESIGN FLAW, MR PHYSICIST!!!!

just when were YOU, Mr. Canadian Nuclear Physicist planning on informing us of this non-positive aspect of nuclear power generation? talk about a timebomb 2000!

do you not feel a responsibility to the citizens in your own nation let alone your 40+ regional glow in the dark southern neighbors of this 'non-positive' revelation unearthed on this thread this week???? and not by c.k. houston either. do you know of some reason why she has a blind spot where nuclear power is concerned?

i can hardly wait to hear your positive spin on the 3 mile island watchdog CITIZEN'S council report of no backup diesel generators in this entire nation for that critical cooling pool function.

you see, the reason why we need plain speaking by folks like me is because the knowledgeable nuclear physicists in our great nation AND YOURS APPARENTLY are muzzled either deliberately or from their own paralyzing fear.
