Ok, then my understanding of what you are saying about the biometric id'ing is this: The card will contain the sole copy of your "fingerprint". In order to verify this, the card will be run through a strip reader, and you will place your "fingerprint" on the scanner. The match will then be made, and the buffer emptied. This sounds reasonable to me on the top. Just having the data stored on your person would provide more security and privacy to people. It's like your own personal notary! I am afraid of the long term abuse potential this technology represents. By requiring us to prove who we are on request, it becomes an invasion of our privacy. If you don't believe me when I tell you who I am, arrest me and figure it out yourself. Yeah, I guess I'm one of those wacko's that's against all State and Federal sponsored ID. I don't want to be forced to carry papers when I drive, fly or rake my leaves. I just want to be left to my own pursuit of happiness, without supervision.
