Remember those hundreds of dealerships they bought with stock. Well, a lot of that stock is still in the hands of those unwilling stockholders and until all of it is sold off, the price will be stuck. These buybacks, and maybe bigger buybacks after AN sells off the rental biz, will absorb a great many of those shares although, for my money, they would be better off holding on to the rental biz.
