Re: "Dividend on CSR is just under 8% (pre-merger)-- is this normal or sustainable?"

Normal? No. Sustainable? Who knows, probably not. AEP is buying CSR, and AEP has a smaller percentage payout (I think). People are gun-shy when it comes to nuclear energy in the midwest. Too many people got burned when Consumers Power stock went from $22 to $4 because of the nuclear power plant fiasco about 20 years ago. (CMS was bought out by AEP. ... I was one of the ones burnt. ... We don't forget things like that in the Midwest.)

But then, isn't that what dividend investing is all about? If it is a sure thing, it doesn't yield 8%.

Best wishes,
