With Dow Chemical buying Union Carbide, that will leave an opening on the DJIA. Can anyone think of a good reason why the largest market cap company around (MSFT) shouldn't be a logical replacement? I don't believe that there's a prerequisite of being listed on the NYSE to be a part of the DJIA. Sound reasonable? And what would that do to the stock price, if anything?
