This Oracle guy (what's his name?) is a real inovator. He's an idea freak. I think he'd like to play with some of his new ideas with his own computer company. I think him and Jobs, both being super inovators as well as friends, could do a turnaround here. I'm excited about the prospect. I hope they're serious. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the neat stuff a company like this could make. I own two late model WinTel setups and no Apples. But I'll switch camps in a heartbeat if they can make these things better, more fun, and cheaper. Emphasis on "more fun". All the industry is doing now is improving and speeding up existing ideas. How totally unexciting. I'd love to see Gates and company dethrowned. They're getting richer and richer based on nothing really new and exciting. I say throw them and the bath water out. Come on fresh ideas! If the Oracle camp can do it, go for it!

By the way, did you see the Apple Coffee Shops deal write-up in Computer Shopper magazine? What a nifty idea. I have been very pesamistic about this company, but...
