When that happens to me, sometimes I get up and eat saltine crackers washed down with milk, there is something in them that is a precursor to natural melatonin, and it replenishes whatever my body needs, and I can fall asleep again after about an hour. I usually sit on the sofa and read. Problem is, then I sleep late. But at least I get enough sleep.

If I have to do something in the morning, I just get up and stay up, and take a nap. My, but we're getting old! ;^)
