Buying selective with low bids. Just got filled on MRK, LLY, BEBE and have lower bids on some top nets. I have a feeling we're ready for a relief rally and when shorts start covering, look out above, at least for a day or two. Everyone has been expecting and fearing an October crash, but this past few weeks has been a slow grinding crash IMHO. Focus on quality earners which have been hammered down to 52 week lows, or at least six month lows and you can't go too wrong. The nets are more speculative but when I see LCOS down at 32 or MSGP at 27 or CMGI at 74 it is getting tempting. I've always told myself to wait until these stocks are being treated as worthless and then buy. The capitulation is obvious here and the 1/4 point rise in rates is more than factored in.
