Jan,This is one of the lowest reading the NYSE BP has ever accomplished.

The other lower times were in: September 1974 @ 6%, April 1980 @ 14% and October 1987 @ 6%.

Tom, I believe, had posted the BP for the New York Stock Exchange since 1974 a couple years ago. I keep it in my folder so I have a perspective as to the previous lows. It sure helped me in buying during the SEMI up cycle in relation to the bottoms.

What is interesting is how seldom that the nyse gets into the sub 30% level. Contrast these narrow swings and the swings of most sectors against the SEMI's, Biogenic and Internet stock it is like skiing the bunny slopes against the black diamond slopes.<g> When the nyse does get into the sub 30% an excellent buying opportunity occurs, IMO.
