HDC, I am not close personal friends with the NTAP leadership, but I do know them, and admire them. Dan was handpicked by Don V. The legend goes that Dan pointed Don V. to CSCO as a good place to put some vc. The rest is history. So, when Don V. discovered NTAP, which was being run by its nerdy technoid founders, he tapped Dan as the CEO as a returned favor. He convinced Dan to work for NTAP with lots of stock options and a promise of a good leadership partnership. Its working, imo. RE: my travel. Yep. I am a peddler and have a huge territory, so my frequent traveller accounts are swelling--doing much better than my portfolio of late. <g>
