Hi Scotchman,
You mentioned that the 2 inch line will only be 5 miles long. How long did you expect it?If 5 miles is long enough for this tie in why would they put a stub on it until they know where the next well will be?
They plan on shooting 42 sq miles of 3D seismic to help them determine the best location for a follow up well.
In Tusk's annual report plans were for a 6 inch line capable of handling 22 MMcfd.A 2 inch line will only be able to handle flow from this well only.
Perhaps First Star wanted to wait till the next deep well was drilled and tested before designing an appropriately sized line capable of handling the flow from 2 or 3 wells?

A production history is required to help a major player decide to participate in a second Swan Hills test.

Best Regards,
Richard

P.S.The sweet well was supposed to spud in March of 99 but Tusk decided to go for a 10% bpo instead of 30%.They put their money into a B.C.gas project which looks promising.
