It's not appropriate to apply martyrdom to a group or family unless all members individually were martyrs. Regarding the Kennedys, some people could make a case for John Sr. and Bobby, but certainly not any of the current generation. Michael skied into a tree after having had an affair with his 14 year old babysitter. David died of a drug overdose. The Skakels are up on murder charges. Teddy is a legendary louse. Joe crippled a woman while driving on a sidewalk. Bobby Jr. was a drug addict and dealer. Pat bought his election in Rhode Island. Now how in the world can anyone call JFK Jr. a martyr because of his family? He didn't DO ANYTHING.
