Yesterday, Henry was rubbing up against me for affection, and I was gruntling him all under the chin, and he squeezed his eyes a little closed to indicate that he was pleased, and he said "Wack!"

I just kept petting him, and he said "Wack!" again. Chris walked in and said, "did I hear a quack?"

It didn't really sound like a duck, it sounded like one of those Kliban cats, the one that says "Wacka-wacka". But the only cat we ever had that said "wack" before was Max the Great, Max the Maximus cat, a celestial cat and a true fur person. Not all cats are fur persons, and even fewer are celestial cats.

We now have hopes for Henry. These things take time.

BTW, being gruntled under the chin is very effective when the object of the gruntling is disgruntled.
