as I've been posting here, Sanford Bernstein analyst Todd Jacobs put out a detailed research call yesterday morning that interpreted several recent regulatory events (... monday's access charge proposal, last week's 5th circuit court ruling and tomorrow's FCC consideration of RBOC pricing "flexibility") as negative for CLECs, especially those focused on the commercial markets such as WinStar, Nextlink and Teligent.

making the rounds over the last two days, it became clear that the regulatory issues that Jacob highlighted were dense enough to have many of the analysts feeling the need to dig further. Several had put out initial comments yesterday/this am, and more have gone into print this afternoon. Trust that all will be looking to get further clarification, while many fund managers shoot first and read reports later... I'll post some of the recent notes soon.
