(OT??) Dear US Robotians, My compliments on your wonderful thread! I have long been "lurking" in admiration of its intelligence and wit, not to mention the drama of its soap-opera-like evolution. But the recent inroduction of a certain villain (apparently modeled after Jesse Helms) has been very disconcerting- almost as if Pauly Shore were to suddenly pop up in Reel 3 of Casablanca and challenge Rick to a farting contest! And what's worse, Rick agrees!! In other words, my presumptuous suggestion is that y'all just let the ignorance, hatred and violence secreted from this villain rot on the diseased vine. Your ill-advised efforts to prove that you can echo his prejudices with somewhat greater subtlety and cleverness really diminish an otherwise outstanding discussion. Please think about it.
