[windows it end?]

hi tom,

you put it so well... ;)

am also watching dspg.. would love to see the 20's (for another buy) ... with around $20 cash/share (including audc), single digits for dspg's current business/ prospects seems like maybe a little better than a rather good deal...

wisdom of middle age has shown me that sometimes just because a company is priced by the market on the (maybe) very low side (by my reckoning), doesn't mean it can't go even lower... ;)

am trying to be patient ... if the market continues to slip, believe we could get there from here.. and agree with you about this management maybe being up to the task ... am quite impressed with their transitioning dspg's center of gravity from tad to ip telephony... and for the rf stuff seems like they've hit the bull's-eye for leveraging their strengths into a hot market...

thought of you when vlsi/ samsung was mentioned in the cc (as i recall your previous comments vlsi- minus/ samsung - plus):

"? looking forward, when i look out 12-18 mo do you still feel there will be a few or several new licensees starting to roll out new product based on your technologies?

definitely yes... yes we have today by the way 6 companies paying us royalties already... and a couple of them just began.. and we see only the beginning.. one of them i can tell you who it is because they published it... vlsi technology... that signed two big contracts which is one with mitsubishi and the other is with samsung... to deliver them wireless communication chips based on our dsps... and we expect royalties to ramp up from vlsi technology when these deliveries begin to take place... based on that (?) .. it should happen in the second half of 99 already..

?so they will start to deliver those chips in the second half of 99?

yes

?ok great, moving on, if i understood correctly you said that your bookings were about 2x shipments in the quarter... that means you should have a backlog somewhere in the $25 million range? am i thinking about that correctly for just the products?

you make your calculations, usually you are good at this... "

keep'n cool (thanks to central air)
