I can't agree more with you. I was really dispointed with JNPR and RBAK. I sold RBAK, JNPR, BRCM, CUST, STMP short to protect my long position such as AOL, YHOO, CMGI, ATHM, and so on. Even I sold my short at almost best price, it only show me a return 15% so far, while many my long stocks off 30% plus. Given the fact I only sold 30% of my portfolio worth short, I had a 20% plus loss in past 3 weeks. Yet, I still think my portfolio is strong and sound and ready to double my short position on JNPR and RBAK if they move higher from here.

There is no way I will get a margin call, even RBAK and JNPR double from their close tomorrow. However, I am worry I will be forced out by my brokerage house, if what happened at waterhouse happen to my firm.

Is this a valid concern or I am worry too much?
