It all depends what factors you think are important in making a decision to buy or sell. In my view, by far the most important factor is management quality, which is a little difficult to measure, but has to do with the ability of management to come to grips with the marketplace and win, and be honest at the same time. QCOM has these characteristics in abundance, and in greater abundance than most other companies. In ten years or less, Jacobs and Viterbi will be held in as great respect as Thomas Edison or Marconi, or Sarnoff. With that kind of leadership and the management quality that comes from it, I don't sell. I just keep buying on weakness. I can't predict if the whole market will become so unsettled that everything will fall. But barring that, I know a bargain when I see one.
