two additions to its senior management team: it named Jim Glista as vice
president of worldwide sales and appointed Steve Cummings to the post of vice
president of research and development. Reporting directly to Khoa D. Nguyen,
president and CEO of VideoServer, both Cummings and Glista will be
instrumental in the aggressive expansion of VideoServer's leadership and
global presence in the IP multimedia communications market.

networking industries while based in the US, Europe and Asia, Glista brings a
truly international attitude and approach to VideoServer -- particularly
important as the company expands into new markets. His extensive experience
includes directing sales and distribution efforts throughout the world for
leading companies including Data General and PictureTel. With VideoServer's
proven track record in the conferencing industry and its depth of expertise in
the emerging world of IP-based multimedia communications, the company is now
well-positioned to address the challenges of evolving its existing channels as
well as establishing new channel partners to help deliver these compelling

Cummings is responsible for defining the strategic technical direction of
the company and implementing radical new programs to drive product and price
performance. He brings an outstanding track record of leading the design,
development and support of complex IP communications products and services.
Prior to joining VideoServer, Cummings held several executive positions,
including CEO of ClearOne and vice president of engineering at PictureTel
Corporation. In addition, he held both technical and management positions
over 17 years at IBM, where he was responsible for the research and
development of workstation and networking technologies. Under his direction,
the research and development team at VideoServer will build on the company's
award-winning products, launching innovative development programs to further
enhance usability and functionality.
