jeff, this IS real turmoil. y2k is one of the most personally polarizing issues, a real sheep and goats separator illustration if you please, in our lifespan.one of the problems i have with most practitioners of the christian faith system is this: they keep looking for a future trigger, a future advent, and in your case a 'future turmoil.'
i'm afraid those 'futuristic christians' to wit i am referring just doing get it that the turmoil is happening right here and now. it is viscious. it is designed to draw blood. it is designed to get attention and to keep it. it is occuring today, yesterday, and the day before, when cornered animals respond with uncalled for hostilities to polarizing issues.
i'm aware the christians are awaiting Christ's return. i'm aware that there is the pre-trib school, the mid trib school, and the post trib set of christian thought regarding this particular point in our historic timeline as a global population.
but to NOT acknowledge that the CURRENT 'visciousness and bloodletting' IS the turmoil you are looking into the future for is puzzling to me.
or let me put it another way: if you don't recognize current 'turmoil' as THE turmoil you are looking into the future for, then when WILL you recognize the danger to your personal family's welfare that you are girded for?
i just hope you are well equipped with discernment skills and not just futuristic christian pre- or mid-trib hopefulness.
