I hit two porphyries and much fracturation on the fault. The mag was an old strange deformed iron formation, the conductor on the river edge was a qtz vein with high (+40%) pyrites. Several veins ran up to .02 gold which was judged to be due the porphyries. One porphyry was identical to the one found in Kidd Twp west of the mine. The area should be looked at for stratiform deposits that may run along the felsic horizon between Kam Kotia and the Kidd mine. Recently in nearby Turnbull and Carscallen there have been found massive sulphides by PALL. It would take a lot of deep IP which I did not have the budget for.

I had drilled a N-S feature at a lithology intersection. In retrospect the east-west strata should be much more productive. The geology however was interesting and not completely a "wash out". I did not intersect any felsic horizons although the IF could have been related.

My other copper property with the low grade CU on the border of a rhyolite porphyry never got drilled. Lack of interest. I did the mag and VLF. The VLF showed some 110% conductors but they may be related to Verical diabase cliffs. The non conducting pyrrohtite-copper zone I can trace by mag for 4 miles. It is up to 80 feet wide and goes to 1% copper. It may not be economic in itself but I think it may indicate something. I would like to do some MMI geochem and look around for a zinc zone. That township has some wide and frequent zinc occurrences. One mile from there, there is a 300 foot wide outcrop that runs about 1% zinc. About 3 miles from there there there are some 9% copper veins that are about 6 feet wide. (they may not be veins.) Down ice of the system there is an angular float of 15 tons that is rich in zinc and runs 5% copper. It is not downice of any mine. I see rich float that is high in lead in the area but I cannot figure out where it may come from.

On another property I saw float that is 50% graphite and 50% chalcopyrite. I figure the source is findable. This kind of thing would be ignored by oldtime exploration and I know its analog, ie Cu in sediments is not routinely looked for but has been found by Cominco in the Kirkland Lake area.

There is a lot our there that is yet to be found.
