>>All that legacy stuff...I'm just too ignorant of what the big companies are doing. Y2K is creating a lot of uncertainty...how many companies are fixing legacy apps, and how many are throwing it all out and starting over?

Q: Why would a biller or Internet billing system provider need Interface?
A: The majority of legacy billing information was written for print output, not for the Internet. Accessing that legacy information, transforming it into Internet-compatible formats like HTML and XML, and then mapping that data to an Internet billing system can be one of the greatest challenges confronting organizations who want to implement Internet billing. A recent survey of high-volume billers conducted by Gartner Group confirms this. According to the study, 85 percent of billers who have not yet adopted an Internet billing system said "interfacing to existing billing applications" was one of the most significant barriers they faced when considering whether to implement an Internet billing system.

Here is how they are used by the #1 and #2 software vendors in the world.

Interface is a certified TransPoint Technology Associate, working closely with the company to help its customers implement the TransPoint Internet Bill Delivery and Payment (IBDP) system. Interface's eBill Manager enables companies implementing Internet billing to quickly access and map their legacy data to the TransPoint IBDP system. TransPoint is a joint venture of Microsoft and First Data, with Citibank as a minority equity investor. The TransPoint service allowss consumers to access and pay their bills through the branded home banking sites of participating banks and other consumer service providers.

Interface is a preferred provider of legacy-to-Internet data transformation for Oracle's Internet Bill and Pay product. By using Interface's eBill Manager software, Oracle's Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) clients are able to implement their EBPP systems quickly, with no changes to their existing legacy billing systems. Oracle Corp. is the world's second largest software company and the leading provider of software for enterprise information management. With annual revenues exceeding $8.0 billion, the company offers its database, tools and applications products, along with related consulting, education and support services, in more than 145 countries around the world.
