Morning Ken, et al,,<unleaded gas at the pump in sunny CA is 1.64 to 1.69 on the central coast.> Are residents happy with this price? Isn't it down from the spike earlier in the summer? Is the public/media still in an uproar? I predicted $1.30 (at the beginning of the summer) here in Vt. by the end of August, currently we're around $1.21. My bullishness lies in natural gas.......... release from yesterday evening-AGA weekly report.. NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Natural gas futures may rally Thursday after the industry's latest inventory report revealed a smaller-than-expected rise in supplies.
For the week ended July 30, the American Gas Association recorded a 26 billion-cubic-foot rise in U.S. natural gas stockpiles. The market had been expecting to see a rise in the 65 billion to 72 billion-cubic-foot range, according to Brian Stuart, natural gas analyst at Alaron Trading.
Total supplies are now at 2,306 billion cubic feet and 71 percent of capacity.
The news comes after the AGA reported a rise of only 41 billion cubic feet in last week's report.
On NYMEX, September natural gas rose 4.4 cents to $2.642 per million British thermal units Wednesday. (gas did sell off a bit after market-fingers and toes crossed<g>...and wood to cut and stack.....;^(......interesting note,,a truck load of logs, equivilent of 7 cord of firewood costs me $360 delivered,,15 years ago-$325..not much inflation there<g>. Still have 4 cord leftover from last year also,,we'll be snug as a bug in a rug this Winter-which isn't to far off, in this neck of the woods!!) |
