And I'm still not very happy about your referring me to that individual. The tone of your PM suggested that you knew him, or knew of him, and that he could provide some useful information.

As it turns out, recent disclosures would indicate that he would not likely have shared any information with me and that he might have been perturbed that I tracked him down.

Since you seem to revel in your aura of omniscience, I can only assume that you knew at the time who he was and you knew what you might be getting me involved with, but did not disclose all the facts to me.

If there is a misunderstanding on my part, I apologize. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but perhaps you should try to imagine how I must have felt when I read the news release on Patterson.
