Your statement is Contra-FUD:

The SEC is only affirming the OBJECTIVES of the proposed system -- not confirming actual institutional interest. How would they (the SEC) even KNOW if there was interest or not? If it was the SEC's job to confirm sufficient (how much is sufficient?) interest for VWAP to fly, do you think they would do it with such a vague statement?

And then what would it mean for an institution to express interest? It doesn't cost them anything to SAY they are interested. Why would the SEC base their ACTIONS on someone's cheap WORDS?

Your statement only adds to my skepticism if this is the best that supporters can come up with.
