GLOBAL MEDIA BROADCAST NETWORK SIGNS STARCAST SYSTEMS INC.
VANCOUVER, Aug. 5 /CNW-PRN/ - Global Media (OTC BB:GLMC) (http://www.globalmedia.com) announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Starcast Systems Inc. which joins them to the Global Media Broadcast Network.
Starcast Systems Inc. is the owner of three radio stations: WQZK-FM; WKLP-AM (Cumberland Maryland market); and WBHN-AM (Bryson City, North Carolina).
''Getting involved with Global Media was a natural step for WQZK-FM. The Global package represents a fantastic opportunity for broadcasters to take part in the evolution of radio which will transform them from local and regional stations serving thousands, to worldwide stations serving millions. With the Global Media e-commerce solution, we can now generate revenue not only from a limited local and regional advertiser base, but limitless on-line retail sales opportunity,'' said Jack Mullen, President and General Manager of operations of Starcast Systems, Inc.
''Retail sales are a new and exciting source of revenue for the 21st century radio station. We, at the Starcast Stations, are excited and ready to be part of this explosion of opportunity. We are ready to get 'rockin' with Global Media.''
''Our Flagship Station, WQZK-FM, accesses over 260,000 people in parts of four states. Our Format is a modern, twenty-first century presentation of classic rock and today's new adult alternative rock music. WQZK-FM (Q94) has been playing rock and roll, in some form or other, since 1981, and has always been the market leader in technology and programming.''
Global Media is the only e-commerce business to aggregate audio and video streaming while enhancing its site frames with not only daily updated static editorial content, but live experiences of music, video and flash animation that will promote sales of thousands of available products.
