The meek shall inherit the earth...the strong will inherit the universe. Well, I do hope that when "the strong" blast off for the universe, they leave enough of the ozone layer behind for the meek on earth to survive... (I know, I know; the space shuttle has gotten a bad rap, but I couldn't resist.) "Trembling quislings"? "Modern-day Luddites"? Let's see, what kind of unflattering appellations can we dream up for "the brave" here?
