Hi Jeff, Most people have not thought about what a shelter holding hundreds of people is like ... Crying babies, kids misbehaving, fights, petty theft, major sleep disruption, a serious odor problem after just a day or two, followed rapidly by heath problems (colds, flu, pneumonia, etc). Anyone contemplating using a shelter as a mainstay of their Y2K plan should seriously consider getting flu and pneumonia shots from their family doctor this fall. The flu shot is good for one year and the pneumonia shot several years or more. Remember, some pneumonia is now drug resistant and can be fatal. This is not that expensive and is a good idea regardless of Y2K. Believe me, things will have to be really bad before they can drag me from my home to a shelter. < vbg > John
