2 examples-
Piscataway, NJ (June 23) - Citing the belief that "Y2K is a long term,
not a short term problem", the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) has urged members of U.S. Congress to enact Y2k
liability legislation. In an open letter to congress, author Dale W. Way,IEEE's Y2k Technical Information Focus Group chairman says
"technical prevention of all Y2K failures has never been possible in any practical way..."
example 2
White Plains, NY. (June 7) - ConEdison Solutions has announced the
launch of its Power Interruption Contingency (PIC) program to help
businesses, healthcare facilities and government organizations more
effectively manage their contingency programs for handling power
interruptions.
