There is a difference of opinion on when to buy a Gorilla on this board, as you might expect. Uncle Frank and I tend to wait until we are sure it is in the Tornado. Others will buy in the bowling alley, or earlier. It is a risk/reward question. I believe you can make as much money by waiting, and not getting caught in a company that does not make it all the way. I just hate small caps; they have consistently lost me money. If I owned 4 stocks right now, they would be Qcom, Cisco, Msft, and Intel, the 'Four Gorillas" (possibly EMC). I would be sure of making very good money every year, with little or no downside risk. I own only Qcom now, and intend to stay that way for the future. Others are convinced it is crazy to own only one stock, and, if it were any other but Q, I would agree. Hey, in the end, you make your own judgements!
