Try this scenario:
If MM's know of any titanic news they could be emptying the buckets before they get popped. They would almost have to sell everything they had at this point to escape a catastrophy...after the way they have shorted the past few months. This drop may be a blessing in disguise.
When the big buys come in, from the news, if they still held all their stock they would get murdered. But this sell off is their last minute escape. When news hits they have nothing in reserve to hold us down, and then boom.
