Mike,

For clarity's sake I'd like to go over the animal references I make from time to time. (vbg)

Bear - A person with some understanding of history, economics, accounting, finance, and/or other relevant investment information.

Bull - A person with a bird's brain.

Rooster - A person/firm that uses its close ties to government and its agencies to gain special advantages in managing and bailing out its investments and loans. This will generally occur at the expense of the public. (As in - "the roosters are in charge of the hen house.")

Big Foot - There's been a number of reported sightings and some hints from reliable sources but no hard data to back up its existence. (Also known as the plunge protection team.)

Weasel - A person or firm representative that goes on CNBC, Wall St, or CNN with the purpose of spinning economic reality, company information or historic data in a way that misleads the less sophisticated members of the public but benefits that individual or firm. (The leader is sometimes called Harpo.)

Cheetah - A CFO that cooks the books of his/her company so that management can exercise its options before the company blows up.

Shark - Hedge fund manager that is willing eat a country with corrupt or incompetent leaders for lunch to satisfy a strong appetite to make a buck.

Bat - A person that has the facts right in front of him/her but still can't see them.

Dinosaur - Someone that was alive during the last bear market.
