Pat,

Several positive aspects in the story.

1. Growth in PC consumption in Japan
2. Internet catching on big time in another non North American geography.
3. More chip consumption.

What we're waiting for is more stories like the one between your post and mine.

More chips at smaller minimum feature size may or may not suck up the spare wafer capacity. I think it's happening but I haven't seen definitive numbers yet.

Once available capacity in a fab is consumed, the fab manager can build a new fab, try to contract foundry capacity or let the competition take share.

No fab manager is going to willingly accept the latter.

CYMI will do exceptionally well from today's price. The only question is "When?".
