OPRYLAND HOTEL CHOOSES SEACHANGE INTERACTIVE TELEVISION SYSTEM

to Build New

Revenue Streams From 3,000 Rooms

One of World's Largest Hotel and Convention Centers to Deliver

Video-on-Demand Movies, Internet Service and PC Games

MAYNARD, Mass., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. has selected the
SeaChange GuestServe Hotel System to deliver interactive television services to over 3,000 guest
rooms, including rooms at the affiliated Inn at Opryland. The hotel operator will leverage SeaChange
International, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: SEAC) advanced digital video server platform on its existing in-house
cable television network to enhance its guests' experience with video-on-demand (VOD) movies,
Internet access and PC games. Ranked among world's ten largest hotel and convention centers,
Opryland chose SeaChange for a turnkey solution that comprises market proven technology, content
acquisition expertise, and experience in supporting expansive deployments of revenue-generating
interactive television services. "Interactive television is Opryland's opportunity to capture new revenue
and create the ultimate guest experience at a large hotel. With SeaChange, we have the power of a
world leader in television technology and customer support to help us further extend our excellent
reputation with unparalleled in-room services," said Ray Waters, vice president and general manager,
Opryland Hotel.

When the GuestServe Hotel System installation is complete later this year, a wide selection of
Hollywood hit movies will be available to guests on demand. The system will also provide reliable
Internet access from each room via a high-speed network connection that delivers Microsoft's Internet
Explorer to the television. Additionally, a selection of high-quality PC games will include trivia, auto
racing and action/adventure themes. Adding further convenience, the GuestServe Hotel System will
allow Opryland to customize its free-to-guest television channel line-up to reflect the preferences of
large groups of guests and to support convention activity.

Opryland's GuestServe Hotel System will conveniently incorporate amenities including 24-hour room
service ordering, account review, express checkout, and customizable messaging to promote hotel
events and local attractions. SeaChange's creative development team will design screens and menus
for a uniform appearance and simple navigation across all services. For turnkey support of the
interactive television opportunity, SeaChange's licensing experts will provide movies and PC games
through the company's relationships with production studios.

The Windows NT-based GuestServe Hotel System frees Opryland from the burden of managing a
cumbersome tape-based system that is limited to providing pay-per-view movies.

The system incorporates technology and services used by SeaChange's video- on-demand system for
residential cable television. With SeaChange's patented MediaCluster technology, the GuestServe
Hotel System can store hundreds of hours of high-quality digitized movies and scale upwards to
support the addition of rooms and other properties.
