>>I think NTOP would be doing themselves a huge favor if one could use the phone2phone service from a pc2phone account. This way, folks with a bad experience may be salvaged immediately rather than feeling they were screwed. <<

I agree with you completely, Steve. It is the first rule of customer service that the customer is always right. Those who have had a bad experience with the pc to phone should absolutely be allowed to convert their remaining credit to NTOP direct, since that is clearly a better and more reliable service. You want fully satisfied customers, not those who will not even try your service because of a bad experience. Since you already have an NTOP account, I believe you are eligible for the .049/minute 24 hour long distance rates but it would require another $25 on your credit card to open a new account. And you need to dial an 800 number first. I have to believe that millions of people would be converting to NTOP direct at .049/ minute for all US long distance calls if they only knew about it. Furthermore, IDTC's global calling card rates (phone to phone over regular telephone lines) provide the best overseas rates of any carrier available. It is an excellent service which we use all the time and which saves us significant money on a monthly basis.

I suspect there are a good number like you who have had a poor experience with PC to phone and won't bother with any other aspects of IDTC's service. That is a real problem that NTOP management should immediately address IMO. I talk with AOL tech support often whenever I have a problem. Their customer service is top notch and one of the reasons I stick with AOL. IDTC should be the same.
