What a Day!

I said about a week ago that I was selling and that I would be looking to get back in in the low to mid 80's. That was quick! I didn't expected us to be here this soon.
Today did have the volume and swing of a bottom - at least in the internet sector. I put in a buy order to get my shares back at 70. Maybe I was being greedy - it didn't go through (duh!). I will leave it there.
Interesting comment on the breakup of MSFT and how they can go around and try and do damage on their way down. Actually, maybe this is a good reason to buy some MSFT. The shares of ATT have split into so many subcompanies and had so many splits, that just by owning ATT in 1984 you now have a very diversified and profitable portfolio. Once MSFT is broken up, it will be MSN against AOL, accept that AOL will have a war chest of cash and MSN will not. That, on top of the possibility of entering the DOW, makes AOL a good long term buy between 60 and 75.

cheers
amazing how my sentiment can change in a week -still glad I sold, even if I don't get my AOL back, it was a good chance to diversify which I have done.
