There will always be people that want to look and touch. But, in these hurried times I think more and more people will prefer the speed and convenience of the Internet. I know a lot of people (including myself) that don't mind paying for service. That is, sometimes I will take a cab to work etc. instead of dealing with the slow crowded NYC transit. Also, it is much easier to find exactly what you want. (Ever shop half a day for something that nobody had in stock? You wind up spending $20 on take out food and forget about your wasted time and energy.
