I missed your point, I fear. If by nailing the bids you mean they took every bid they could get (ie. were a big seller), that's true...but they've been a net seller for several months.

I'm curious, U1: I thought in order to short you had to be able to borrow the shares, which means they have to be in a margin account somewhere and hence lendable by the brokerage. For me at least (E*Trade Canada) WEB is not marginable; how is it shortable?

Congrats on your short, BTW. Money can be made on price movements both ways.
