I saw a movie the other day. It was eight hours long so I watched it on fast forward. It was about this man called gsm who had an Ant Farm and raised the ants to pray to him. He had switched to ants because the cockroaches got too smart. The most interesting point in the movie was when the ants raised a statue to their god. It enraged the man, gsm, because they erected an uncle not a gsm god. The ants needed an uncle and he didn't understand that. He was too much of a father figure, or a kissing cousin to the ants. I'm not sure which. At one point someone suggested he switch to termites, but a treeman would never do that! Too much danger their bite might be worse than his bark.

He went on trial for destroying their little village. Ant Number 6, a free ant, was the prosecutor. gsm was glued to a chair with resin while ants milked their aphids and he had to watch the proceedings. He protested that he was human and not subject to such a kangaroo trial. But they reminded him it was not a kangaroo trial, but an ant trial. They considered him an ant, after all, wasn't he the defend ant?

He lost the case; they found him guilty. The film closed with a shot of him out in the orchards, near Antsville, with a pair of tweezers milking the aphids.

What a tragedy... luckily the film only cost fifty cents to rent.
