With AXC suit against Mitsu scheduled to start on 3/31/97, this may put pressure on Mitsu for a settlement now that AXC has the obvious upper hand. If this occurs, we could very well see a repeat of the same scenario that played itself out several years ago with respect to Minolta's Autofocus Technology. Minolta chose one major company to go after as an example for patent infringement and won a settlement of $150,000,000.00. After that whopping decision, all the other manufacturers who had "borrowed" Minolta's technology got in line and paid the piper rather than risk a huge loss in court. This should all play itself out in AXC's favor during the rest of 1997. KM. exploding DST sales and royalty settlements should make the remainder of 1997 very interesting for AXC. MB
